Shah Rukh Khan's Message To Asoka Director Santosh Sivan After His Big Cannes Win: "Have Learnt A Lot From Him"

Shah Rukh Khan sent a congratulatory message to cinematographer-director Santosh Sivan after he won the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. In a video shared by a fanpage dedicated to the actor, Shah Rukh Khan can be heard saying, "Big congratulations to Mr Santosh Sivan for Santa, as we call him, for receiving the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens Award at the Cannes Film Festival. I have had the good fortune of working with Santa very early on in my career and like so many others, I have learnt a lot from him. We did films like Dil Se, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and he directed me in the beautifully crafted Asoka. And during the course of making these films, there was so much learning from him. Janhvi Kapoor Reacts To Wedding Rumours: "They Are Getting Me Married In A Week Which I'm Not Okay With"

Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently promoting Mr & Mrs Mahi, addressed the rumours of her wedding to Shikhar Pahariya in an interview with ETimes. When Janhvi was asked to share the strangest rumour she has heard about herself, she told ETimes, "I read something very stupid just recently where they said that I have confirmed some relationship aur 'meri shadi aise hone wali hai' (I will get married like this). People mixed up some 2-3 articles saying I'm getting married. They are getting me married in a week which I'm not okay with (laughs). I want to work at the moment."

This is not the first time Janhvi reacted to her rumours of wedding. A few days ago, a paparazzo's page shared a post mentioning that the actress would like to get married in Tirupati. Janhvi dismissed the rumours simply by dropping a comment. Janhvi Kapoor, in the comments section of the post, wrote, "Kuchh Bhi (Anything)." The aforementioned post read, "In a 2021 interview with Brides Today, Janhvi shared insights into her potential big day and envisioned wedding celebrations. When questioned about her envisioned wedding, Janhvi expressed a well-defined vision. She disclosed her desire for an intimate ceremony at Tirupati, wearing a gold zari Kanjeevaram saree adorned with mogras in her hair. She anticipated her husband donning a lungi, with guests enjoying a traditional meal served on banana leaves (sic)."

During another promotional event of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Janhvi Kapoor's love life became the taking point. At the event, when Janhvi Kapoor was asked to share the qualities she looks for in her partner, Janhvi replied, "Mere sapno ko jo apna sapna banaye, mujhe himmat de, baraba de, mujhe khushi de, mujhe hasaye and jab me roti hu tabh bhi mera saath de (Someone who makes my dream his dream, who encourages me, supports me, who makes me happy and who stands by me when I cry)." As soon as Janhvi finished her words, the audience said, "All the best." To this, Janhvi replied, "Why, all the best? Is it that difficult to find?" The audience replied back, "You have already found him."

Janhvi Kapoor is rumoured to be dating Shikhar Pahariya. For the unversed, Shikhar Pahariya is the grandchild of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sushilkumar Shinde. Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya are often spotted at restaurants, pubs, events. They haven't acknowledged their relationship in public till date.

Gauri Khan accompanied AbRam, while Aryan Khan stood in front of his mother.

Fahadh Faasil On Being Diagnosed With ADHD At 41: "I Asked Whether It Can Be Cured..."

Noted South Indian actor Fahadh Faasil said he was clinically diagnosed with Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at the age of 41. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain's ability to regulate attention, behavior, and impulse control. It is common in children but can also affect adults.

Speaking after dedicating Peace Valley Children's Village at nearby Kothamangalam on Sunday, the Aavesham actor said that while roaming around the children's village, he asked a doctor whether it was easy to cure ADHD.

"He told me it can be easily cured if it is diagnosed at a young age. I asked whether it can be cured if it is diagnosed at the age of 41. I am clinically ADHD diagnosed," said the Kumbalanghi Nights actor.

His statement comes as Aavesham, upon its release on April 11, garnered widespread critical acclaim from reviewers, who lauded its direction, standout performances--particularly by Fahadh Faasil and Sajin Gopu--dynamic action sequences, stunning cinematography, captivating musical score, and overall technical prowess.

In terms of work, Nushrratt Bharuccha last appeared in Akelli. In the movie, she  played the role of Jyoti, a woman who gets stuck in Iraq and struggles to come back to India. While talking about her character, Nushrratt told PTI, “I find that journey and that story of how she gets saved by someone also very interesting. It's just about the story... If the story appeals to me, I'm happy to be a damsel in distress and (wait for) a hero coming and saving me. It's absolutely fine.”

Nushrratt Bharuccha added, "How she is stuck, where she's stuck and how she's trying to go back to her loved ones in India... In such situations, somebody would've given up. They would have said it is daunting and too big a thing. But she fought for it. So her entire story was very interesting to do.”

Nushrratt Bharuccha will be next seen in Chhorii 2. The film is sequel to 2021 horror-drama film Chhorii.

Anasuya Sengupta, After Winning Best Actress Award At Cannes: "Shakily Walked To The Stage"

Anasuya Sengupta is on cloud nine, and she has every reason to be. The star has etched her name in history by becoming the first Indian actor to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Anasuya received the trophy in the Un Certain Regard segment for her portrayal of Renuka in the film The Shameless. The movie has been written and directed by Bulgarian filmmaker Constantin Bojanov. Talking about her winning moment, Anasuya told the Hindustan Times, “I couldn't believe it was happening! But as I shakily walked to the stage and stood with artists I have admired, my heroes, it felt oddly natural to be welcomed with so much authenticity and love by them. I am so grateful to the jury for seeing my hard work."

After her grand victory, Anasuya Sengupta received congratulatory messages from many industry colleagues, including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Arjun Kapoor. Commenting on this, the actress added, "I am amazed at the love pouring in from so many back home, it makes me proud to make everyone proud. I am literally taxi-ing in the plane now on my way home to my family, I just can't wait to be with them.”

During the same discussion Anasuya Sengupta also spoke about the hard work she put in for The Shameless. She mentioned, "I auditioned for it, my director Constantin had reached out. It was a lead role…I have worked so hard for so long, and I'm here to keep doing it more and more. It all feels worth it when I look back, and all the pieces are wonderfully coming together for me finally."

Anasuya Sengupta dedicated her award to the queer community. In her winning speech, the star said, “I dedicate this and so much more to the queer community, other marginalised communities all over the world for so bravely fighting a fight that they really should not have to fight. You don't have to be queer to fight for equality, you don't have to be colonised to know that colonising is pathetic — we just need to be very, very decent human beings.”

Janhvi Kapoor, who is promoting her film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, opened up about the paparazzi culture and shed light on how the value of celebrities is measured in monetary terms by the paparazzi in an interview with The Lallantop. Janhvi Kapoor, who can be called the paparazzi's favourite, said that the paparazzi follow a celebrity depending upon his/her market value.  Speaking to The Lallantop, Janhvi Kapoor said, "Like right now, Mr & Mrs Mahi's promotion is going on; they are called to the airport to click my picture. But when the film's promotion is not going on, when I am not going for shoots, when I want to disappear, then, if they want to put in extra effort, and this has happened many times, they follow the car because they get paid for every picture, every image."

Speaking about the paparazzi's process of assessing the celebrities, Janhvi said, "Every celebrity has something like a ration card (If I can call so). Their pictures sell for so much. If your price is high, they reach you, follow your car. If the price is not that high, you call paparazzi."

Janhvi Kapoor has been actively promoting her new film. She shared a reel in which she can be seen dancing to the song Dekhha Tenu a few days ago. Dressed in a pastel coloured anarkali, Janhvi can be seen moving like a magic in the video. Janhvi's BFF Orry wrote in the comments section, "Beauty, grace represents all the Indian states." Directed by Sharan Sharma, who made his debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Mr And Mrs Mahi marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. They earlier worked together in the horror comedy Roohi. Originally scheduled for an April release, the sports drama is now slated to hit theatres on May 31, 2024.
