Fighter Advance Booking: Final Day 1 Numbers For Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone's Film

Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan's Fighter has finally hit the theatres today [January 25]. The Siddharth Anand directorial proved itself to be unstoppable even ahead of its release. We say this as Fighter has minted Rs 8.4 crore by selling 2,79,367 tickets for day 1 through advance booking, across India, reported Sacnilk. The aerial action drama has so far sold 1,25,868 tickets in the Hindi 2D version and 1,38,503 tickets in the Hindi 3D version. In addition, Fighter has sold 10,119 tickets in the Hindi IMAX 3D version. The film features Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty, and Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore aka Mini. This is the first time that Hrithik and Deepika are collaborating on-screen. Apart from the two, the movie also features Anil Kapoor, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz, and Aamir Naik in important roles.

In a new development, Fighter, which revolves around an Indian Air Force squad on a mission to protect the nation, will not be released in Gulf countries except the United Arab Emirates. On Thursday, sources confirmed that the film has failed to receive approval from the GCC Censors [Gulf Cooperation Council Censors]. The censor screening took place on January 10 and the denial for release was only shared on January 23. The big news was also confirmed by trade analyst Girish Johar. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the trade analyst called the development a major setback and wrote, “In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with a PG15 classification!”

Meanwhile, during a press conference ahead of the release, Hrithik Roshan shared his experience of working with Deepika Padukone for the first time. Explaining how Deepika helped him during the filming of the hit track Sher Khul Gaye, Hrithik said, “There is a thing that helped me a lot, this is when we were shooting for Sher Khul Gaye. I had obviously put in a lot of effort in getting the steps right but when I saw Deepika doing the same step, I was like this is looking so effortless man and then I asked Deepika, 'Can you please do the step for me'. We are on set, the camera is on and I was like, I am not doing it until I understand what is going wrong with my step. So I asked her to do the step, I saw what she was doing and then I copied what her style was.”

Fighter has been backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures.

Animal Star Triptii Dimri On Her Airport Fashion: "I Like To Be Comfortable"

Delhi will always hold a special place in actor Triptii Dimri's life as she grew up here. On Wednesday, she made a quick stopover in the national capital for an event, where she briefly spoke to ANI and recalled her fond memories associated with Delhi.

"I have spent 21 years of my life in Delhi. While coming to South Extension market today, I undoubtedly became nostalgic. I have spent hours and hours in markets of Delhi exploring delicious street food items like momos. I miss my family, friends and of course food in Delhi," Triptii shared on the sidelines of the launch of Twamev's flagship store in Delhi.

Triptii originally hails from Uttarakhand but has spent a major part of her life in Delhi. After studying in Delhi, she moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career.

And now with her acting stint in films like Laila Majnu, Bulbul, Qala and Animal, the young artiste has managed to carve a niche for herself in the industry. Interestingly, Triptii has also been enthralling fans with her fashion statement.

With appearances at the airport becoming a frequent occurrence for her, it didn't take time for her to come into the spotlight for the outfits that she donned before travelling to another city.

Asked if she underwent the pressure to always be well-dressed at the airport, Triptii said,"No...I like to be comfortable. I feel very cold in aircraft so I make sure I am fully covered and comfortable."

She also feels that her fashion quotient has evolved over the years.

"Initially, I was very casual with my dressing...even now I am very casual but when I have to go to events I have to be a little careful. I can't be too casual all the time right?" Triptii laughed.

Several reports suggested that director Shashi Ranjan is helming a documentary The Roshans tracing family's seven-decade run in the movie business.

The new pictures from the Krrish director indicates that SRK might appear in the documentary and have also shot his part.

The first picture features director Shashi Ranjan, Rakesh Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan.

As per reports, The Roshans will be designed along the lines of The Romantics, featuring interviews of their friends, colleagues and family.

Reportedly, The Roshans will feature story about Roshan (Hrithik's grand-father) renowned music director, Rakesh Roshan (his filmography), Rajesh Roshan (his music) and Hrithik's acting career.

However, an official announcement of The Roshans is still awaited.

Rakesh Roshan and SRK have worked together in films like Karan Arjun, Koyla and King Uncle.

Meanwhile, SRK ruled the box office in 2023 with three s hits Pathaan (in January), Jawaan (in September) and Dunki (in December).

He has still not announced his next projects.

Saumya Tandon, known for her role in the TV show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, recalled her experience of co-hosting reality show Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Talking about her experience, Saumya told Digital Commentary, "When I got to know that I am co-hosting with SRK, I thought I have arrived in life. But it didn't work. It turned out to be the biggest flop of my career. Having said that I had a great time meeting and working with Shah Rukh. He is extremely sharp and clever. He isn't just a great actor, he is very witty and intelligent. Before doing this show I wasn't an ardent SRK fan but it changed when I met him.”

She further added, "I remember I had to co-host the show's launch event with Shah Rukh. When I came, he stood up, he didn't have to…he is such a big star. All the CEOs and other important personalities were waiting to meet him but he said, ‘This is my time with her.' So, everybody was standing till the time he finished his rehearsal with me. We rehearsed for close to an hour. When he was with me, he was just with me. Looking into my eyes, making me feel important, giving me respect, time and space. He didn't make me feel that I was a new person. He asked me two-three times if I want to rehearse more, just like any other co-actor. He gives unadulterated attention to you and that makes him the most romantic person, because when you get unadulterated attention of a person, you feel you are the most important person for him and that for me is romance.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu.

On Tuesday, the granddaughter of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan gave her fans a sneak peek into her regular work day. Navya shared a picture of herself attending a meeting online while commuting. This is a very basic thing, that you must know your language, I don't know why people get shocked.”
