Adah Sharma Moves Into Sushant Singh Rajput's Mumbai Apartment:"This Place Gives Me Positive Vibes"

Amid buzz around Adah Sharma occupying late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's apartment in Mumbai, the Kerala story actor revealed that she moved into the place four months back. In an interview with Bombay Times, the actor opened up about the move and how  some people tried to dissuade form moving into the place in Bandra.“I moved into the flat (Mont Blanc Apartments, Bandra) four months ago, but I was busy promoting my projects, including Bastar and the OTT release of The Kerala Story. After that, I spent some time at the elephant sanctuary in Mathura. It's only recently that I got some time off and have finally settled in,” Adah said.

She added, “I have lived in the same house at Pali Hill (Bandra) all my life and this is the first time I've moved out of there. I'm very sensitive to vibes, and this place gives me positive ones. Our homes in Kerala and Mumbai have been surrounded by trees and we used to feed birds and squirrels. So, I wanted a home with a view and ample space to feed birds.”

Actress Adah Sharma was seen outside late Sushant Singh Rajput's apartment last year. Since then, there has been speculation about whether she is buying the flat that the actor stayed at, before his death. Earlier, when she was asked about the same during an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, the actress mentioned that when she went to see the apartment, she was “overwhelmed” by the media attention. She said, “For now I would just like to say that I live in everyone's hearts. There is a right time to speak. When I had gone to see the place, I got a little overwhelmed with the media attention. I am a private person. I love being in the public eye for my movies, but I have always been private. I guard my privacy.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020, in his Mumbai apartment. He was 34. The actor has given Bollywood many hit films such as Chhichhore, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, and Kai Po Che! Sushant's last movie, Dil Bechara, was released posthumously. On the other hand, Adah Sharma was last seen in Sudipto Sen's Bastar: The Naxal Story.

Kiran Rao Reveals Advertising Job Helped Her Afford A Living In Mumbai

Before entering the world of films, director Kiran Rao took on numerous projects, one of which was Aamir Khan's iconic film Lagaan. During an episode of the podcast Cyrus Says, Kiran Rao disclosed that it was her earning from working in advertising that provided her with the financial stability she needed. “I was essentially a gig worker. I'd take on jobs as they came, working as long as they paid, then I'd scramble to find the next, all while stressing about whether my savings would last and if I could cover my rent.” When the host mentioned her involvement in Lagaan and suggested it should have been financially rewarding, she explained, “Feature films didn't pay. It was advertising that paid me the money to live in Mumbai. With Lagaan, the first AD system kind of started coming in.”

Kiran also recounted buying her first car from her father for Rs 1 lakh, saying, “I bought my car from my dad. He sold it to me for Rs 1 lakh. Have you ever heard of that? My father was like, ‘This is the only way you will save money.' We drove it from Bangalore to Mumbai on the newly minted expressway.”

In a recent interview with NDTV earlier this year, Kiran Rao talked about her decision to publicly announce her divorce from Aamir Khan. Speaking to NDTV, she said, "It was a conscious decision because in some ways, we do realise that...You know you are in the public gaze. You are living your life very publicly. What we were doing was completely legal, morally and ethically fine. It's better to be upfront about it and not let people guess about it."

On the work front, Kiran Rao made a directorial comeback after a decade with Laapataa Ladies. The film has been receiving a lot of love from audience and critics alike. The film has been co-produced by Aamir Khan's production house.

[It is done, right?”, “Aaj ke liye itna hi footage milega [That's all the footage you'll get for today.]” She makes hand gestures signalling the cameraman to stop filming. Soon after, a cheerful Janhvi asks if she can share a “secret.” Janhvi's mood changes and she asks, “I wanna know what you are capturing?” and “kitna close up lega? [How much of a close-up shot are you going to take?]” Towards the end, Janhvi talks about a self-written poem that she does not wish to be recorded.

He wrote, “The lead actors do their bit to keep us invested in the narrative and the emotions of the two principal characters. Rajkummar Rao, always on an even turf, delivers Mahendra's recriminations, some directed at his father, others at his wife, with conviction even when the lines that the character speaks are riddled with self-pity.”

Jayati Bhatia On Co-Star Sharmin Segal's Performance In Heeramandi: "She Has To Work Harder"

Amid all the chatter surrounding Sharmin Segal's performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series Heeramandi, her co-star from the show Jayati Bhatia has voiced her support for the actress. Jayati Bhatia, who plays Phatto Bi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's show was asked what she feels about Sharmin's acting in the show. In her response to She told ABP's Entertainment Live, "This is a very important phase in her career, in her life. After this, she will only get better. This is the first step, she's done Malaal, but here she's worked under the guidance for Mr Bhansali, under his direction, so this is her first thing. Now she has to prove herself.”

Jayati then explained why Sharmin could have approached her character the way she did. She said, “It is about what approach an actor takes. There are a lot of actors who believe that less is more. They feel if they do more then it'll become too much. Then there is Phatto (Jayanti's character) who is all over the place. Manisha ji has a grey shade, it is a solid character. Fareedan's charatcer (played by Sonakshi Sinha) is a firecracker, she is exciting you all the time. Then there is Aditi Rao Hydari (who plays Bibbojaan), you can see her inner strength because when the show starts, she's already working with the revolutionaries.”

She went on to say, “So there are so many characters, how do you make your presence felt? What approach will you take? So, maybe this was the approach that she (Sharmin) thought she could take, that less is more. In the next work that she does, she cannot rely on (the same acting style). She has to move forward from this, and show people, while remaining true to the story… She has to work harder now. She's our darling, but as someone who trained her for her first film, I am very protective and fond of her. As a teacher, I can say that she needs to put the criticism aside and focus on her craft going forward.”

Meanwhile, Sharmin revealed that she auditioned for the role 16 times on The Great Indian Kapil Show. When Kapil inquired, "Kya unhone aapka sach me audition liya tha ya aapne unko mamu banaya?" (Did they truly audition you or did you just get the benefit of uncle-niece relationship?)," Sharmin replied that the process included 16 rounds of auditions. She said on the show, "Ek saal ke liye prepare kiya aur 16 baar auditions diye" (I prepared for a year and gave 16 auditions for the role)."

Meanwhile, talking about selecting the site for his self-designer home, Imran wrote, “So… one of the things I did over the past few years was to build a house. While I've played an architect in a few films, I can't actually pretend to have any kind of training or expertise… but I do enjoy tinkering and learning stuff! I chose the site because it was unique. Uneven, flanked by two seasonal streams, backed right up against the base of a cliff… and facing the sunset. I knew right away that the landscape had to dictate the design of the house."

Elaborating in the intention to build a house, Imran Khan wrote, "The intention was not to build a lavish vacation villa, rather to make something that takes it cues from the landscape. The house isn't meant to be the view, it's a shelter from which to admire the view."

Check out Imran Khan's post here:

Imran Khan is known for films like Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, Luck, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, I Hate Luv Storys and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. He was last seen in Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut in 2015. Three years later, he directed a short film Mission Mars: Keep Walking India.
