Shah Rukh Khan On "Bollywood's Son-In-Law" Virat Kohli: "Have Known Him Since His Dating Period With Anushka Sharma"

Shah Rukh Khan recently shared his admiration for celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh spoke about his close bond with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. In an interview with Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his fondness for Virat Kohli, referring to him as Bollywood's "Daamad" (son-in-law). "I spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We say that he is our son-in-law, he is our fraternity's (Bollywood) ‘Daamad'. I have known him the most compared to other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time, and spent a lot of time with them. I have known him since his dating period was going on and I was shooting the film with Anushka. So, he spent many days with us, and became very friendly."

Shah Rukh Khan also humorously recounted teaching Virat Kohli the signature steps of the title track of his movie, Pathaan (2023) . "I taught him the Pathan movie title song dance steps. I saw him in one of the India matches, he tried to dance with Ravindra Jadeja in the match. They were trying to do that dance step, I was very sad that they are doing it so badly! I told them that let me make you learn the steps so that in the next World Cup and other Championships, whenever you dance at least you will call me and ask how to do the steps," Shah Rukh Khan chuckled.

Lara shared, “I've faced a lot of eve-teasing incidents of course, and I've also talked about them. During the music release of my debut film Andaaz, Priyanka (Chopra), Akshay (Kumar), and I went to Rhythm House at Chandni Chowk in Delhi. I was wearing a sari. As we were trying to get into Rhythm House, a huge crowd had erupted since Miss World (Priyanka) and Miss Universe were coming together on screen for the first time, and there was Akshay Kumar.”

Directed by Raj Kanwar, Andaaz features Lara Dutta as Kajal, Priyanka Chopra in the role of Jiya, and Akshay Kumar portraying Raj. Released in 2003, the movie completed two decades last year.

Snapdragon X Elite Surfaces on Geekbench, Beats Apple's M3 Chip in Multi-Core Test

Snapdragon X Elite — Qualcomm's flagship computer chip that is expected to arrive on laptop from popular brands this year, has been spotted in a benchmark test. A listing for the purported Surface Laptop 6 on Geekbench suggests that Microsoft's upcoming Surface laptop could beat Apple's MacBook Pro models that are powered by its latest M3 chip, in one CPU test. According to recent reports, Microsoft could launch Surface laptops equipped with Snapdragon X Elite chips at a hardware event in May.

The Surface Laptop 6 was spotted by WCCFTech on Geekbench, without an official product name. It is listed with the title "OEMBR OEMBR Product Name MFG" and the details show that it is powered by a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chipset at 4.01GHz, with 12 cores. It's worth noting that there are three Snapdragon X Elite variants, and the one that was benchmarked was not the most powerful chip — that variant (XIE-84-100) boasts a 4.20GHz boost clock speed.

The purported Surface Laptop 6 with a Snapdragon X Elite chip has a single-core score of 2,714 points, and a multi-core score of 14,078 points. This puts the chip ahead of Apple's 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro in Geekbench's multi-core tests — the M3 MacBook Pro scored 3,103 and 12,065 points, respectively.

If these benchmark tests are genuine, then Apple's M3 chip should be 13.37 percent faster than the Snapdragon X Elite on the rumoured Surface Laptop 6. Meanwhile, Qualcomm's chip is shown to be 15.4 percent faster than the M3 MacBook Pro. After all, the Snapdragon processor has more cores (12) than Apple's M3 chip (8).

It's worth taking these benchmarks with a grain of salt, as Microsoft is yet to announce any plans to launch new Surface models with Snapdragon laptop chips. According to a recent report, Microsoft is said to be confident that the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 can beat the latest 3nm Apple Silicon processor. We can expect to learn more about these rumoured devices soon — Microsoft is tipped to introduce new Surface laptops powered by Snapdragon chips at its next hardware event in May.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has seen a slight increase in box office numbers on its third Saturday. On day 17, the action film minted ₹ 65 lakh, according to a Sacnilk report. The movie has so far amassed ₹ 59.55 crore. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. Movie buffs are also praising the performances of Manushi Chhillar as Captain Misha, Alaya Furniturewalla in the role of Doctor Parminder Bawa, and Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying Kabir, also known as Mr X. Released on April 11, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been produced by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a reboot of the 1998 movie of the same name. The original blockbuster featured Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in leading roles. Before the film's release, producer Jackky Bhagnani shared an anecdote about Govinda's positive reaction to the trailer. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Jackky Bhagnani mentioned, “Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) uncle was busy but I got an opportunity to meet Chichi bhaiya (Govinda) at his house a day before the trailer launch of the film and showed him the trailer. He saw it and said to me, ‘Your director is a very good man.'”

“When I asked him how he could predict the same, he told me that Ali hasn't made a film but cinema with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. We all know that Chichi bhaiya is a veteran and legend. I grew up in front of him. And his words gave me so much confidence. It was just amazing. I'm a creative person who's now producing. It made me so happy. All of us are working day and night so that people like what we made and praise us,” Jackky Bhagnani added.

In an NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee wrote, “But Bade Miyan Chote Miyan labours in the belief that star power can help a sloppy script paper over the effects of a glaring lack of substance. Captain Freddy is the sort of guy who thinks no end of himself. He will have Captain Rakesh alias Rocky (Tiger Shroff), his younger mate, believe that the latter would be a dead duck without the experience and maturity that the seasoned army man brings to the partnership. The latter, not one to be rolled over without a squeak, insists he is better off the way he is - fast and furious.”

She said, "When I was offered this project, I was in Nepal, gardening and I was really thrilled. I waited for such a long time. It took 28 years of waiting and finally Sanjay came with a good project and i told him, 'Sanjay don't take another 28 years to offer me another good one.'"

She further continued, "I have seen his movies after Khamoshi. So much pleasure and joy it gives me to see his career graph and one after the other brilliant film he has made. At this age and stage in my life when I was offered this, I was really thrilled.

Talking about her experience of working in Heeramandi, the actress said, "I had 4th stage of cancer and to get a chance to life after that was like a second chance to life. I wasn't sure if i would live and how long I would live. In my work life, to work in a project like Heeramandi and to play this character, which has so layers, for me it was like a second life for an actor."

Mrunal Thakur On Losing Films As Her Parents Did Not Approve Of Intimate Scenes

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur, who was recently seen in film Family Star alongside Vijay Deverakonda, opened up about her discomfort with regard to doing intimate scenes on screen. In an interview with iDiva, the actress shared how she lost on a lot of films because her parents would not approve of them and she was not comfortable either. Mrunal said: “I was not really comfortable doing scenes which were intimate, like romantically. I would just get scared, I'd just say no to a film, but how long could I say no? There was a point I had to sit down with my parents and tell them that ‘Papa, I cannot miss a part because sometimes it's there, it's not my choice.”

She further continued, “As much as I wanted to do a film, I had to drop because there was a kissing scene involved. As an actor, you need to be ready because sometimes that's the demand (of the scene). If you are not comfortable, you can tell, you can talk about it but I kept missing out on films because of that.”

In an earlier interview with Humans Of Bombay,  the Love Sonia actress opened up about finding a balance between work and life. “It's important to balance life and career but you're always trying to figure out how to strike that balance. I know relationships are tough, and that's why you need to find the right partner who understands the nature of your job." On being asked about freezing her eggs as actress Mona Singh did, Mrunal Thakur said, "Freezing eggs, yes, I'm also considering that.”

Foldables aren't the only devices expected to be launched at the firm's next Galaxy Unpacked event — Samsung's new Galaxy Ring is also tipped to make its debut.

A SamMobile report citing multiple anonymous sources states that Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. The event will reportedly be held in Paris, and will take place ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics (Paris 2024) that are scheduled to begin on July 26. Samsung typically unveils new Galaxy Z series phones in the US, but made an exception in 2023 by holding the launch event in South Korea.

This year, Samsung is tipped to launch three foldable phones (it typically unveils two models) at its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The company could launch two book-style Galaxy Z Fold models, alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is a clamshell-style foldable. The rumoured Galaxy Z Fold 6 'Ultra' model is expected to arrive with hardware upgrades and a higher price tag, and might not be available in some markets.

At its next Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung is also expected to reveal more details about the Galaxy Ring, the company's first miniature wearable with fitness tracking features. The company first teased the wearable device at its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, where it launched the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. It also showed off the design of the Galaxy Ring at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) in February.

Other devices that are rumoured to be in development, such as the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup could also be unveiled at the next Galaxy Unpacked event. Meanwhile, Samsung has also been working on an extended reality (XR) headset — the Samsung Galaxy XR — that could be launched at the event as a competitor to the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

Opening up about her marriage, Arti Singh told ETimes TV that it is a "purely arranged marriage." She said, "It's purely an arranged marriage. There was obviously a period of courtship where we wanted to get to know each other better and assess our compatibility. We first spoke on July 23 last year and met after his birthday (August 5). As things progressed, I decided to commit to this relationship in November. However, we didn't move forward until both our families approved of our union. On January 1, Dipak proposed marriage to me with a ring at my guruji's temple in Delhi and I said yes. I consider that moment as my engagement," she said.

Arti Singh stepped into the Indian entertainment industry with the TV show Maayka. She has also featured in TV shows like Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Sasural Simar Ka, Udaan and many others. She also participated in Bigg Boss 13.

With new plans now starting at Rs. 29 per month, JioCinema is looking to disrupt the OTT category, as it did in the telecom space. Can JioCinema, with its new pricing strategy, take on the rivals? To answer this question, we have pitted the cheapest subscription plans of all the popular OTT players, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar, to see which offers the best for its customers. JioCinema Subscription Plan

JioCinema recently introduced two Premium subscription plans. The Premium plan costs Rs. 29 per month, while the Family plan is priced at Rs. 89 per month. However, the OTT player is offering these plans at an attractive special introductory price. After this, one can expect JioCinema to charge Rs. 59 and Rs. 149 per month for the Individual and Family plans, respectively. 

Regarding the benefits, the Premium plan offers an ad-free experience throughout the app, except for sports and live broadcasts. The plan also offers all premium content that is available on the platform. Moreover, one can stream up to 4K resolution. However, one can enjoy the benefits only on one screen at a time. Lastly, the plan lets you download and watch your favourite shows anytime and anywhere. The Family plan offers all the benefits of the Premium plan. However, you get the extra benefit of streaming the platform's content on up to four devices. 

Netflix Subscription Plan

Netflix also offers a plethora of subscription plans for its users. However, the cheapest one is the mobile plan, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 149. Under this plan, customers can watch ad-free content on the application in 480p quality.

Users can stream the content on one screen at a time. However, there is a restriction as well. One can only watch the content on a smartphone or tablet, while for computer and TV support, you need to opt for a higher-priced plan. The OTT platform offers a Basic plan for Rs. 199 per month, Standard for Rs. 499 per month, and Premium for Rs. 649 per month. 

Amazon Prime Subscription Plan

Amazon also has its Prime Lite subscription plan, which offers some great benefits to customers at a price tag of Rs. 799 per year. The subscription plan allows customers to watch all the content on the platform in HD resolution. However, Prime Lite subscription does not offer an ad-free experience like Netflix or JioCinema. Moreover, you can only stream on a mobile device.

That said, the Prime Lite membership also brings some Amazon Prime benefits like free one-day delivery, two-day delivery, scheduled delivery, same-day delivery, early access to exclusive deals and sales, and more. Apart from this, those who want to have the full advantage of Amazon Prime can go for the standard subscription plans that are priced at Rs. 299 (monthly), Rs. 599 (quarterly), and Rs. 1,499 (yearly). 

Disney+ Hotstar Subscription Plan

Disney+ Hotstar only offers one mobile plan for its customers. The plan is priced at Rs. 149 for three months or Rs. 499 per year. With this, customers can watch all the content, including movies, live sports, TV, and original content, on their smartphone or tablet.

Moreover, users can watch the content in HD resolution. The plan allows subscribers to watch the shows and movies on a single device at a time. Apart from this, the subscription plan does not offer any ad-free experience. 

Furthermore, Disney+ Hotstar offers a Super plan for TV and laptop screens at Rs. 899 per year or Rs. 299 for three months. Lastly, we have the flagship offering with a Premium plan priced at Rs. 299 per month, Rs. 499 for three months, or Rs. 1,499 per year.

The answer is pretty much clear here! The Rs. 29 per month JioCinema Premium plan is currently the cheapest plan available compared to its rivals. The closest to JioCinema would be the Disney+ Hotstar Mobile plan, which comes out roughly at Rs. 49 per month. However, the subscription plan is only limited to mobile devices, and you have to bear ads while watching shows and movies. 

Amazon Prime Lite membership will be available roughly at Rs. 67 per month. However, it is also limited to mobile devices and offers ads. That said, you still get some Amazon Prime benefits on the e-commerce platform. Considering this, it is a decent price to get all these benefits. 

Netflix is the most expensive offering. The Rs. 149 Mobile plan does offer an ad-free experience, though it is limited to 480p quality and is restricted to mobile devices. 

JioCinema has taken the disruptive route with its pricing. The Rs. 29 per month plan offers some of the best perks you can get in this budget, whether it be 4K streaming quality or access to all original content on the platform, that too on all devices (including laptop and TV). The JioCinema Premium plan sure brings some amazing benefits and perks, all at an affordable price.

The Internet was quick to recall that this was the gown that Samantha Ruth Prabhu wore for her wedding in 2017. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, co-stars of films like MajiliYe Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya, got married in 2017. The stars announced their separation on social media in a joint statement in October 2021.

The premiere night of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated debut web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar turned into a dazzling affair as several Bollywood stars graced the event on Wednesday in Mumbai.

From veteran actress Rekha to superstar Salman Khan, actress Alia Bhatt, Mrunal Thakur, Vicky Kaushal, several stars gathered together to root for Bhansali and his Heeramandi team.

Recently, during the grand trailer launch of the show in the national capital, he opened up about his role as Wali Mohammad in Heeramandi. He also got a little emotional while talked about his return to the acting space after a long time. "It's been a very long gap for me, it's been almost 14 years. I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity. I couldn't have hoped for a better opportunity as an actor to return to the screen," said Fardeen, who was last seen in 2010's Dulha Mil Gaya.

He also shared how Sanjay Leela Bhansali allows actors to "bring depth to the roles."Fardeen added, "For me, this was something I have never done and it was the perfect role for me. At the age I am, to come back to the screen, you come with a certain amount of life experience, and wisdom and you know you can you can contribute to the layers that Sanjay writes into all his characters. His characters are very intricate and very complex. There's nobody like him who writes characters. He goes across the spectrum and emotions, and he has this intuitive understanding of it. It's daunting to work with him, but at the same time, when you see it all together, it just all makes sense. I'm extremely grateful for this chance and so happy to be here."

Starring a talented ensemble cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman, Heeramandi is set to be out on May 1.

Set against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s, the project promises to be an epic saga of love, power, revenge, and freedom.
